Privacy Policy
Last updated August 2026
The short version: we collect what we need to run URS Network, we don’t sell your data, and we don’t run ads or advertising trackers. Because the network is built to be open, much of what you add is meant to be seen — so you stay in control of what you share.
This policy explains how URS Networks LLC (“URS Network,” “we,” “us”), a Wyoming limited liability company that is wholly owned by URS Technologies LLC (URS Technologies LLC owns URS Networks LLC), handles your information when you use our website and services (the “Service”).
1What we collect
- Account & profile. Your email and password (through our authentication provider), and the profile details you choose to add — name, username, headline, location, profession, work history, website, and availability.
- Content you create. Posts, showcases, the links you share, messages, and your network activity.
- Location. You choose where you appear on the map; that location is shown to others according to your settings.
- Technical data. Basic log and device information, and local storage we use to keep you signed in and remember preferences (like your accent color). No advertising trackers.
- Payments. Handled by our third-party payment provider acting as merchant of record. We don’t see or store your full card details.
2How we use it
- To run the Service — your account, the map, the matching layer, messaging, notifications, and showcases.
- To connect capability with need across the network.
- To keep the community safe and enforce our Terms.
- To process membership through our payment provider.
- To maintain and improve the Service.
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not run ads.
3What others can see
Much of URS Network is intentionally open: your profile, your presence on the map, your posts, and your showcases are visible to other members, and any showcase you publish to the web is visible to anyone. Share only what you’re comfortable making visible, and use the availability and visibility controls to manage it.
4Who we share it with
- Service providers who help us operate — hosting and database, email, and our payment provider — under obligations to protect your information.
- Legal & safety, when required by law or to protect people and the integrity of the Service.
We don’t sell personal data, to anyone, ever.
5Cookies & local storage
We use local storage to keep you signed in and to remember preferences such as your accent color. We don’t use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies.
6How we secure your data
We protect your information with encryption both while it’s moving and while it’s stored, across every provider we rely on.
- Encrypted in transit. Everything you send to and from URS Network travels over an encrypted connection (TLS/HTTPS), so it can’t be read as it moves across the network.
- Encrypted at rest. The data our providers store on your behalf is encrypted on disk, using strong industry-standard encryption (AES-256).
- Your password is hashed. Passwords are stored using one-way hashing through our authentication provider, not in a readable form — not even we can see your password.
- Payment cards stay with our payment provider. Your full card details are handled by our PCI DSS Level 1 payment provider as merchant of record; we never see or store them.
One honest note: because URS Network is built to be open, the profile, posts, and showcases you choose to share are stored in a form we can read in order to run the Service — the map, matching, messaging, and search all depend on it. That data is protected by the encryption above, but it is not “end-to-end” encrypted, and you should share only what you’re comfortable making visible (see Section 3).
The providers that store or process your data
SupabaseDatabase & sign-in
Supabase hosts our database and handles sign-in. All customer data is encrypted at rest with AES-256 and in transit via TLS, and sensitive items such as access tokens are additionally encrypted at the application level. Passwords are hashed (one-way) by Supabase Auth rather than stored in readable form. Supabase maintains SOC 2 Type 2, ISO 27001, and HIPAA compliance. See Supabase’s security page.
PaddlePayments & billing
Paddle is our payment provider and merchant of record. It is certified to PCI DSS Level 1 — the highest level for card security — and encrypts cardholder data in transit and at rest. Because Paddle is the seller of record, your full card details go to Paddle, not to us, so we never receive or store them. See Paddle’s Trust Center.
CloudflareHosting & delivery
Cloudflare delivers the Service and supports our infrastructure. It encrypts stored objects at rest with AES-256 and secures data in transit with TLS across its network, automatically and by default, and is covered by SOC 2 and ISO 27001. See Cloudflare’s data-security documentation.
ResendEmail delivery
Resend sends our transactional email (such as sign-in and account messages). It encrypts data in transit using TLS 1.3 or higher and encrypts its datastores at rest, with sensitive information encrypted at the application level. As with all email, once a message reaches your mail provider, further protection depends on that provider. See Resend’s security page.
7Your choices
You can edit or remove your profile and content, adjust what’s visible, and close your account at any time. To request access to or deletion of your personal data, see Delete Your Account or contact us below. Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under laws such as the GDPR or CCPA — we honor those requests.
8Keeping & removing data
We keep your information while your account is active. When you close your account, we delete or anonymize your personal data within a reasonable period, except where we must retain some of it for legal, security, or dispute-resolution reasons.
If you create an account but never start your free trial, we automatically remove that account and its associated data within 24 hours of signup.
9Children
URS Network is for adults. It is not intended for anyone under 18, and we don’t knowingly collect information from them.
10Where data is processed
We operate from the United States, and your information may be processed there. By using the Service, you understand that your data may be handled in the U.S.
11Changes
We may update this policy as the Service evolves. If we make material changes, we’ll make a reasonable effort to let you know, and the “last updated” date above will change.
