Our goals

Turn contributions into capacity — for people, everywhere.

Every membership strengthens a fund with one purpose: to build businesses and founders that fill what communities are missing, in the things people cannot live well without.

Direct investment in the nine essentials

See the economics — cost to benefit, by the numbers →

Our targeted investments go into new technologies, processes, and products across nine essentials. When capital and mentorship flow into these domains — and into the founders building in them — a community stops importing its survival and starts producing it.

Clean energyGeneration, storage, and distribution a community can own and run.
WaterFiltration, capture, and delivery of safe water where it's scarce.
AirCleaner air and the processes that stop fouling it in the first place.
SoilRegenerating land so it can keep feeding the people on it.
FoodLocal production, storage, and distribution that ends dependence.
ClothingDurable, made-near textiles and the makers who produce them.
TransportationMoving people and goods affordably and cleanly.
GoodsThe everyday products a community can make for itself.
ShelterBetter, affordable ways to build and maintain homes.

Build people, not just projects

Money alone does not build a community's capacity — people do. So the fund's most important work is making entrepreneurs: finding young people with the drive to build, pairing them with mentors who have done it before, and standing up the businesses that fill what a community is missing.

1
Find the voidThe needs declared on the map are a live map of opportunity.
2
Find the visionaryIdentify young founders with focus and dedication.
3
Incubate & mentorSurround them with experienced members.
4
Invest & launchBack the venture; place it on the map as new capacity.
Talent is everywhere; support is not. We supply the support — the nest, our incubator; so you can grow to be the best that you can be.

Where we're headed

The near road is to grow the membership that makes the fund real, open the first cohort of incubated founders, and make the map dense enough that capability and need meet as a matter of course. The longer road is a global commons of producers — networks of networks, each governing itself, each building the essentials its community needs. We will grow the fund, publish what it does, and keep the four lines intact no matter how large the network becomes.

The full narrative lives in our white paper.
